La Piñata is Eddyville, Kentucky’s Authentic Mexican taqueria. 

It is a small, takeout-only food establishment that packs a big taste in every bite! 

Gloria Mijes (owner, cook), born in San Marcos–Acapulco, Guerrero; and Rudy Mijes (owner), born in Xalapa, Veracruz; were inspired to open La Piñata after moving to Kentucky from Chicago, Illinois. It wasn’t long before they began to miss the tastes of their old hometowns. That is why they decided to pursue their dream of opening a taqueria so that they could enjoy and share the traditional, rich cuisine of their culture and history with their new community.
